This adult male correctional facility operates under the Kansas Department of Corrections and is located in Hutchinson, Kansas, approximately 50 miles northwest of Wichita in central Kansas. The facility supports a multidisciplinary behavioral health team that includes therapists, NPs, and MDs to deliver coordinated clinical care. Behavioral health services are provided on-site within a structured correctional environment with a census of 250.

Hutchinson, Kansas serves as a regional hub in Reno County with a population of roughly 40,000 residents. The city offers a range of attractions, including Strataca, where visitors descend 650 feet underground to explore salt-mining history, and the Cosmosphere, a space science center. The Licensed Professional Counselor will provide behavioral health services to an adult male incarcerated population on a full-time day shift schedule totaling 40 hours per week within an inpatient correctional setting. The clinician will conduct individual and group therapy sessions addressing mental health concerns such as trauma, substance use disorders, severe mental illness, and adjustment-related challenges, and will complete clinical evaluations, psychosocial assessments, and individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and maintenance of accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. The clinician will collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, correctional staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate comprehensive behavioral health services.
