Join Our Team as a Peer Support Specialist!

Location: California Facility 44871 Saint Andrews Church Road

Pay Rate: $18 - $22 per hour

Summary: Assist individuals in establishing necessary connections with available supports in the facility and the community that will facilitate initiation and ongoing engagement in the recovery process. Help individuals develop and solidify long-term recovery supports and provide services before, during, and following their engagement in the treatment continuum.

Responsibilities:

• Provide lived experience expertise and interact with a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
• Maintain regular contact with referral sources as indicated.
• Prepare and conduct concurrent reviews for referral sources as directed by the supervisor.
• Ensure timely completion of medical record documentation.
• Facilitate group sessions.
• Document all client or peripheral contacts.
• Participate in facility peer engagement processes.
• Foster productive, effective, and professional relationships with all disciplines.
• Keep the supervisor informed of developments.
• Provide transportation for clients to access community resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPRS certification.
• One year of work experience in a substance abuse treatment facility preferred.
• One year of direct peer support experience preferred.

Employment Information: Due to the nature of behavioral healthcare work and our responsibility to ensure client safety, candidates selected for hire must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and any required state-mandated clearances. Employment is contingent upon meeting all screening requirements in accordance with federal, state, and accrediting-body regulations.
