Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a community hospital setting. This position involves providing emergency care to a diverse patient population with a variety of acute medical conditions. The ER team manages trauma, behavioral health emergencies, respiratory conditions, and more in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; required.
• Education Requirements: No specific degree listed; minimum experience required is 0 years.
• Location Requirements: Must be at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
• Years of Experience: 0 years required.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG, starting and maintaining IVs, administering emergency medications, and managing a wide range of medical and trauma emergencies.
• Float: Will have to float to all community hospital ER units within scope of practice.
• Submission Requirements: All necessary documents to be submitted 2 Fridays before start date; EPIC training modules and infusion pump/glucometer training to be completed prior to start.
• Additional Details: The ER has 8 beds, with a daily census of approximately 60 patients, and is staffed with dedicated professionals including ED RNs, providers, and support staff.
