The Company Kleiss High Precision, a member of The Heico Companies' Plastics Segment, is a U.S.-based precision injection molding company specializing in tight-tolerance plastic components for demanding applications. The company combines advanced molding technologies, micro-molding capabilities, robust quality systems, and extensive experience processing high-performance engineering polymers to support customers from prototype through production. Operating from Grantsburg, Wisconsin and certified to ISO 9001:2015, Kleiss High Precision partners with customers across medical, industrial, and other regulated markets to deliver complex molded components with consistent quality, reliable performance, and responsive program support. Key Responsibilities Build, revise, and repair injection tools to required tolerances and standards. Change tool configurations per production schedule requirements. Set up, operate, and maintain tool shop equipment. Disassemble, clean, and reassemble tools per maintenance schedules and specifications. Troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend corrective actions. Maintain workspace to required safety and organizational standards. Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with tool building and repair, including injection molding tools. Precision & Quality: Ability to meet tight tolerances and quality specifications. Problem Solving: Root cause analysis and resolution of tooling issues. Equipment Proficiency: Experience with CNC and EDM machines (preferred). Workplace Discipline: Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications & Experience Technical degree in Tool Making or equivalent education and experience (Essential) CAM and/or CNC experience (Desired) Experience operating EDM equipment (Preferred) Training Requirements Completion of Tool Maker onboarding and equipment-specific training. ISO 9001 awareness and internal quality procedures. Safety and machine operation certifications. Competency assessments aligned with the Victrex Competency Framework. Performance Metrics Tool readiness and uptime. Quality of tooling and fixture output. Responsiveness to tooling issues and changeovers. Compliance with maintenance schedules and audits. Compliance & Safety Responsibilities Adhere to ISO 9001 and internal QMS documentation and procedures. Ensure tooling activities meet safety and regulatory standards. Escalate quality or safety concerns promptly. Support internal audits and corrective actions. This position requires the use of safety shoes and safety glasses during the performance of most tasks, in compliance with site safety policies.
