Learn more at GCE.org. The Custodian is responsible for safely performing janitorial duties assigned by management. Quality service is expected at all times, and the candidate must be willing to learn all aspects of the job as it pertains to this position. Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on the specified contract(s). Understand oral and/or written instructions. Interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, and staff members. Pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings, as appropriate. Physical Requirements May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions. Most work takes place indoors. May work with cleaning chemicals. Must follow the Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change, and may require working early morning, mid‑morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours as well as weekends and holidays. While performing duties, the team member must regularly bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit (to drive), and lift up to 40 pounds, with occasional need to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
