Level 1 IT Support Technician

IT Support TechnicianWe're looking for a reliable, customer focused IT Support Technician to provide onsite technical support at our client's primary location in Pennsauken, NJ. This is a long term, part time contract supporting a growing organization as it continues to expand through acquisition.You'll serve as the primary onsite IT resource, assisting end users with desktop support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and coordinating with remote engineering teams when advanced support is required.ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite desktop and end user support for Windows workstations and laptopsTroubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issuesSupport Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and OfficeAssist with user account administration in Active Directory and Microsoft 365Perform basic network troubleshooting including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and connectivity issuesProvide first level support for Cisco, Fortinet, or similar network equipmentInstall, configure, and replace desktop hardware and peripheralsDocument incidents, resolutions, and work performed in the ticketing systemEscalate complex issues to senior engineers while maintaining communication with end usersAssist with routine maintenance, equipment deployments, and technology refresh projectsMaintain a professional onsite presence while delivering outstanding customer serviceRequired Qualifications1 to 3 years of IT support or help desk experienceStrong Windows 10/11 desktop support experienceExperience supporting Microsoft 365 and Active DirectoryBasic understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and VLANsExperience troubleshooting PCs, laptops, printers, and mobile devicesExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPreferred QualificationsExperience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environmentFamiliarity with VMware, Hyper V, Azure, or AWSExposure to Cisco, Fortinet, or Arista networking equipmentBasic PowerShell or scripting experienceKnowledge of ITIL incident management practicesPreferred CertificationsCompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+Microsoft Fundamentals (Azure or Microsoft 365)Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST)CCNAITIL FoundationFortinet certificationsThis is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional looking for a stable, long term engagement with a predictable onsite schedule while supporting a growing organization.
