Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Night Shift)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Float Pool will provide comprehensive care to patients throughout the hospital, including the Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), and Medical-Surgical (MS) units. The nurse will be required to float between units and take assignments that may include a patient load of 6-7 patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in Critical Care settings.
• Float to various units as needed, including ED, ICU, IMCU, and MS.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR system (Epic).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in ICU nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Active New York RN license required at the time of submission.
• NURSYS report and license verification with all active RN licenses needed.
• Travel experience is required.
