Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services ’ company, is looking for a Dental Assistant II in support of Lawton Indian Hospital. This is a Temporary Role , Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-4:00 pm working hours, with a start date of August 24, 2026 and ending approximately September 18, 2026. Dental Assistants supporting the Lawton Indian Hospital may also be assigned to work at the Anadarko Indian Health Center as needed based on staff shortages using IHS vehicle during regular work hours.

Responsibilities \n
\n
\n

\n
• Obtain and record vital signs and screening data in electronic dental and health records.
\n
• Triage emergency dental patients.
\n
• Take both intraoral and extraoral (panoramic) digital radiographs. Obtain diagnostic quality images taking appropriate additional exposures as needed.
\n
• Chair side assistant, primarily assisting in general dentistry. Assist as needed in more complex specialized dental procedures such as oral surgery, prosthetics, operative, endodontics, periodontics and pedodontics.
\n
• Prepare dental instruments and materials prior to procedures. Evacuate blood and secretions from oral cavity during procedures. Transfer instruments to provider during dental procedures.
\n
• Clean and transport soiled instruments at the end of the procedure. Perform proper pre-sterilization cleaning, packaging of instruments and sterilization. Complete routine equipment and operatory maintenance. Clean operatory and work surfaces between patients.

• Provides routine rubber cup and prophylaxis and applies topical fluoride treatment as assigned by the dentist.
\n
• Relays to patient’s post-operative instructions, disease prevention techniques, and home care instructions.
\n
• Places pit and fissure sealants as prescribed by the dentist.
\n
• Direct patients or visitors. Refer callers to appropriate staff members. Write down pertinent patient or message information to give accurate messages to staff.
\n
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications \n
\n
\n

\n
• High School Diploma or equivalent. 
\n
• Minium 1 year of experience in Dental Assistance direct practice.
\n
• \n

  Candidates must be able to work full time for the indicated time period in order to be considered.

\n
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
\n
• Ability to work onsite in Lawton, OK
\n
• Knowledge of all instruments, materials, and procedures normally used in all phases of restorative, prosthodontic, oral surgical, endodontic and periodontal treatment.
\n
• Knowledge of dental anatomy and ability to properly expose and mount diagnostic radiographs.
\n
• Ability to explain to patient’s post-operative instructions, disease prevention techniques, and home care instructions.
\n
• Knowledge of steps and techniques required for the placement of sealants on teeth.
\n
• Knowledge and skill of tooth isolation techniques required to maintain a dry field of placement of restorations and sealants.
\n
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques.
\n
