This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting and compliance activities, and contributing to process improvement initiatives that strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency. Classification Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Starting pay is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour plus incentives Supervisory Responsibilities None. Core Responsibilities Financial Operations & Transaction Management Maintain accurate accounting records and enter financial transactions Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Process invoices, payments, and bank deposits Reconcile accounts, statements, and supporting documentation Track vendor records and required tax documentation Maintain asset and property tracking records Monitor purchase orders and support documentation Support job costing and financial tracking for projects Maintain financial documentation and filing systems Assist in preparation of monthly and periodic financial reports Support reconciliation and validation of financial data Identify discrepancies and investigate variances Assist with sales tax reporting and financial schedules Prepare supporting schedules for leadership reporting Assist with commission calculations and tracking Contribute to financial data analysis to support operational decisions Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls Assist in preparation for internal and external audits Maintain organized financial documentation and supporting schedules Help ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements Support monitoring and documentation of internal controls Assist in year-end close preparation and documentation management Process Ownership & Improvement Evaluate accounting workflows for efficiency and accuracy Assist in documenting procedures and financial processes Recommend improvements to financial tracking and reporting systems Support implementation of accounting system enhancements Participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives Strategic Business Support Collaborate with operations and leadership to provide financial insight Support budget tracking and financial planning activities Assist in monitoring financial performance indicators Provide data support for decision-making and operational planning Cross-train in multiple accounting functions for operational continuity Support training of staff on financial processes and documentation Lead assigned financial projects or improvement initiatives Prepare financial information for leadership review Develop readiness for progressive responsibility and supervision Administrative Support Maintain financial records and documentation systems Prepare required reports and supporting materials Provide front desk coverage as needed Perform related and additional duties as the position progresses Required Skills and Competencies Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to interpret and communicate financial information clearly Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Initiative and willingness to take ownership of processes Professional judgment and confidentiality Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles Collaboration and cross-department communication skills Education and Experience Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or a minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or or a combination of a degree and experience will be considered Experience with reconciliations and financial reporting support preferred Experience supporting audits or month-end processes preferred Strong spreadsheet and data analysis capability required Experience with journal entries required Experience with QuickBooks preferred Preferred Experience supporting budgeting or forecasting Experience improving accounting workflows or systems Previous leadership experience or progression in responsibilities Professional Development Expectations This role is expected to progressively develop capability in: Month-end and year-end close support Financial statement preparation and analysis Budget tracking and forecasting support Internal control monitoring including audit coordination Process improvement including cross-functional financial collaboration Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting and working on a computer Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally Ability to work cooperatively with diverse personalities Reliable attendance and ability to meet deadlines Other Requirements Clear background check and drug screening Ability to travel to other locations in Springfield, Harrisonville and Lake of the Ozarks, occasionally Professional appearance and demeanor required Able to meet scheduling requirements: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional earlier start times due to meetings Supervision Reports to the Accounting/Office Manager. #J-18808-Ljbffr Three Stone Homes
