By putting clients first and continuously innovating, we're working together to set the pace for unlocking new possibilities that better serve the property industry.Job DescriptionWhat you'll doChampion Cotality's transition to AI-first engineering practices, actively integrating Agentic AI into the SDLC to drive operational efficiencies.Utilize the BMAD method alongside Spec Kit to accelerate development timelines while maintaining rigorous engineering standards.Embrace an accelerated leadership trajectory with the opportunity to become a Dev Anchor, guiding and mentoring other engineers on the team.Embrace and exemplify XP Values (Simplicity, Communication, Feedback, Respect, Courage).Be an active member and leader of the property data developer community to help grow and enhance our engineering practices.Pair programming with team members to solve complex problems together using Test Driven Development to implement continuous integration.Collaborate with your team to provide technical direction on product, design, and architectural decisions.Learn from others (because we all have something to learn) and teach others (because we all have something to teach).When something goes wrong, assist in diagnosing and resolving production incidents and then improve upon our tests, code, and systems so we don't see that problem ever again.Job QualificationsRequired experienceBachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.5-8+ years of experience developing applications using modern Object-oriented Programming languages.Strong understanding of architectural standards and software development methodologies.Seasoned full stack development experience.Advanced experience in Java, TypeScript/JavaScript.Advanced experience using Spring Libraries.Advanced experience in modern Front-End frameworks (Angular preferred; strong experience in React or other frameworks with highly transferable skills is fully acceptable). Experience in various database and big data technologies (PostgreSQL, BigQuery).Hands-on experience developing with AI assistance tools, specifically GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar AI agents.Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; Organizational and time-management abilities.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.Nice to Haves/PreferredProficiency in utilizing AI coding agents via CLI mode for maximum developer productivity.Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and building or integrating custom Agentic AI servers.Groovy, Gradle, Kafka, Terraform, ElasticSearch, Jenkins, Docker, Anthos.NgRx, RxJS, Deck.gl.Test Driven Development (TDD) experience.Full stack development experience using modern Single Page Application (Single SPA) framework.Full stack Micro Frontend development experience.Hands-on experience with Cloud Platforms (GCP preferred, but AWS, Azure, or other cloud platform experience is welcome).Experience in designing and implementing large-scale event-driven architectures (Kafka).Strong understanding of modeling techniques, design patterns and SOLID principles.Create and modify CI/CD pipelines.Advanced understanding of foundation architecture.Domain-specific industry experience in Real Estate, Insurance, Mortgage, or Residential Tax a plus.Coaching and teaching skills to mentor less experienced team members.Annual Pay Range: 111,900 - 165,000 USDApplication Window: This opportunity is expected to remain posted through the date identified below, subject to business needs.2026-06-30Thrive with CotalityAt Cotality, we offer more than just a job, we provide a benefits experience designed to support your whole self.
