Part Time Patient Customer Service Representative

Job Summary As our Customer Service Representative, you’ll work to help our patients check into the hospital. It’s fast-paced on occasion and you’ll be the person they rely on to answer questions during registration. You’ll build trust in these interactions by collecting information accurately and quickly but also by listening with compassion - not just to hear information, but to address their fears, concerns, and questions. Key Responsibilities Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment. Collect details that must be input correctly between physician and nurse check-ins across multiple screens. Work across multiple programs and type as quickly as patients can talk. Work around clinicians interrupting the registration process for emergent clinical care. Help people who may be very ill or worried. Ask follow-up questions and build rapport in real time. Work quickly and expect the unexpected in a fast-paced environment. Assist patients in completing registration while standing and on your feet. Requirements High School Diploma or GED Excellent customer service experience Must be up to date on all vaccinations, pass a drug test, and pass a background check prior to hire. Prepared to see illness and injuries. Preferred Skills Medical experience Pay & Benefits For this US-based position, the base pay range is $14.50 - $18.99 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Competitive benefits package.
