Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description

The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying the quality and dimensional accuracy of metal products prior to shipment. This role involves conducting physical inspections using precision measuring equipment, documenting inspection results, identifying non-conforming materials, and ensuring customer specifications are met. The inspector works closely with production and quality personnel to support the delivery of high-quality products to industrial, aerospace, and defense customers.

• Conduct physical inspections of metal products using precision measuring equipment.
• Document inspection results and identify non-conforming materials.
• Ensure customer specifications are met.
• Collaborate with production and quality personnel to maintain high-quality standards.
• Escalate discrepancies appropriately and ensure quality issues are addressed.

• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, and pin gauges.
• Ability to read and complete work orders, travelers, and production documentation accurately.
• Experience performing dimensional inspections on metal or manufactured products.
• Basic computer skills for entering inspection data and tracking production information.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• 2+ years of quality inspection experience.
• Aerospace, defense, metals, machining, or manufacturing experience.
• Military experience, especially in technical or avionics roles.
• Forklift certification or prior forklift experience.
• Experience working with quality management systems and inspection processes.
• Familiarity with overhead cranes and material handling equipment.

The position is set in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to moving equipment and machinery. The role requires frequent standing, walking, and physical inspection activities throughout the day. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe or metatarsal boots, and long pants are required. Noise levels may be high at times, and collaboration with Quality Analysts, production teams, and warehouse personnel is essential. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Garland,TX.
