Per Diem Pharmacist - Orlando, FL

This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with a background in retail or specialty pharmacy, particularly with experience in HIV/AIDS medication dispensing. The role involves providing per diem coverage primarily at a Community AIDS Network location and Avita Pharmacy in the region, supporting a sensitive patient population with respect, empathy, and expert care.


Location:

• Orlando, FL (covering nearby locations including Plantation/Ft. Lauderdale area as needed)

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
• No weekend shifts

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medication with a focus on HIV/AIDS specialty drugs, ensuring accuracy and sensitivity
• Build and maintain trusting relationships with patients, emphasizing non-judgmental, respectful communication
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and the pharmacy team to coordinate patient care
• Use pharmacy intuition to proactively identify and address operational needs within the pharmacy
• Maintain timely and consistent presence during scheduled shifts

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• At least 1-2 years of retail or specialty pharmacy experience, specifically with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing
• Proficient and comfortable using QS1 pharmacy software
• Licensed pharmacist in Florida with up-to-date credentials
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
