Junior Maintenance Technician

Day‑to‑Day Duties

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on pool filtration systems, pumps, heaters, and related mechanical components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures; replace or repair faulty parts on site.
• Assist senior technicians with larger repair projects and respond to emergency service calls.
• Complete work orders, log service activities, and maintain accurate parts inventories.
• Perform water‑quality testing and adjust chemistry as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, local regulations, and company policies while on the job.
• Communicate service status and recommendations clearly to customers and internal staff.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new pool technologies and best practices.

Must‑Haves (Essential Qualifications)

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification in pool or mechanical maintenance is a plus.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in pool maintenance, residential/commercial pool service, or a related mechanical field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Ability to lift, climb, and work comfortably in wet or confined spaces.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused attitude.

Nice‑to‑Haves (Desired Additional Skills)

• Certification in pool water chemistry or related safety courses.
• Experience with a variety of pool equipment brands and models.
• Familiarity with basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
• Ability to mentor junior staff or apprentices.

Salary & Benefits

Annual Salary Range: $52,000 – $72,800 (USD), based on experience and qualifications.
