Manufacturing Technician

Manufacturing Technician Location: Plymouth, MN Hours: 4:00 PM 2:30 AM (Mon-Thu) Pay: 28.74/hr Summary: We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to provide front-line engineering and production support in a clean-room manufacturing environment. The technician will work closely with Operations and Assemblers to troubleshoot production issues, investigate scrap, monitor line performance, and provide technical coaching and support. Responsibilities: Provide production support in clean room > 90% of day, responding to escalations from Operations (i.e. scrap, process questions, equipment issues, etc.) Build SME-level knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, and best practices and support Operations team in coaching assemblers Investigate scrap generated throughout the shift and understand root cause through dissection and assembler observation/discussion Provide data-driven and evidence-based feedback and coaching to assemblers on scrap Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and documentation, as required Proactively monitor line performance and drive immediate corrections or escalations Requirements: High school diploma or GED Basic Microsoft Office skills Ability to work as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment Ability to work with assemblers and other non-technical personnel Ability to teach and coach others Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams Adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner to meet assigned deadlines Individual Should: Be innovative, resourceful, and work with minimal direction Have excellent organization, problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills Work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to build relationships positively with people of varying personalities and cultures Possess strong judgement with a focus on quality Preferred/Nice to Have: 1-3 years of relevant experience Direct production support (front line, day-to-day hands-on experience) Manufacturing technician or technologist Prior medical device experience Trade school certification, specialized training/apprenticeship and/or equivalent in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or other equivalent Training or babysitting experience nice to have as it demonstrates coaching / teaching ability
