Electrical Assembler

The Electrical Assembler is responsible for wiring circuit boards and assembling electrical sub-units using power tools and soldering equipment. This role includes operating wave solder machines, performing solder repairs, and working from electrical blueprints and schematics to build high-quality assemblies in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Wire circuit boards and assemble electrical sub-units using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to complete assemblies accurately.
• Perform electrical wiring, crimping, and soldering on various components and assemblies.
• Operate wave solder machines to process circuit boards according to established procedures.
• Conduct solder repairs on circuit boards and assemblies to meet quality standards.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly and repair work.
• Follow established work instructions, quality guidelines, and safety procedures at all times.
• Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support overall shop cleanliness and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and output targets.

Essential Skills:

• At least 1 year of electrical assembly experience.
• At least 1 year of electrical wiring experience.
• At least 1 year of experience reading diagrams, schematics, or blueprints.
• Ability to perform soldering on electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with crimping and wiring techniques in an assembly environment.
• Comfort using power tools and hand tools for assembly work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Basic understanding of electrical components and circuit board assemblies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of circuit board soldering experience is preferred.
• Experience operating wave solder machines is a plus.
• Prior work in a manufacturing or production environment is beneficial.
• Ability to work overtime as needed to support production demands.
• Strong problem-solving skills for identifying and correcting assembly or solder issues.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Work Environment:

This role is based in a medium-sized manufacturing facility that is recently renovated, well-lit, organized, clean, and climate controlled. The position is on first shift, typically running from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with approximately two hours of overtime available per day. The environment involves working with electrical assemblies, circuit boards, soldering equipment, and power tools, following established safety and quality procedures. The dress code requires jeans, steel-toe boots, and a t-shirt without obscene graphics, supporting a practical and safety-focused workplace.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franksville, WI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
