BenefitSpa is seeking a licensed and compassionate Massage Therapist to provide exceptional

therapeutic and relaxation massage services in a luxury wellness environment. The ideal

candidate is dedicated to helping clients reduce stress, relieve pain, improve mobility, and

enhance overall well-being through personalized treatments and outstanding client care.

 

Key Responsibilities

Perform Massage Treatments

Provide high-quality therapeutic, Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal (if certified), hot stone,

and other massage services offered by BenefitSpa.

Client Consultations

Conduct consultations to understand each client's health history, concerns, wellness goals, and

physical condition in order to create customized treatment plans.

Assess Client Needs

Evaluate muscle tension, posture, range of motion, and areas of discomfort to determine the most

appropriate massage techniques.

Client Education

Educate clients on stretching, self-care techniques, wellness practices, and recommend treatment

plans that support long-term health and recovery.

Maintain Sanitation

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized treatment room, ensuring all linens, equipment, and

supplies comply with California health and safety regulations.

Maintain Client Records

Document treatment notes, client progress, health information, and recommendations while

maintaining strict confidentiality.

Exceptional Client Experience

Create a peaceful, professional, and welcoming atmosphere while delivering personalized care

that encourages client comfort, relaxation, and trust.

Skills & Qualifications

Active License

Must possess a current and valid California Massage Therapy certification or license as required

by state and local regulations.

Professional Knowledge

Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, massage techniques, body mechanics, and

contraindications for massage therapy.

Customer Service

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, educate clients,

and provide exceptional customer care.

Professionalism

Positive attitude, reliability, punctuality, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining the

highest standards of client care.

 

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive hand and arm movements, and apply

consistent pressure throughout multiple massage sessions while maintaining proper body

mechanics.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum one year of professional massage therapy experience (preferred but not

required)

• Experience with multiple massage modalities, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports,

Prenatal, Hot Stone, or Lymphatic Drainage

• CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred)

• Passion for wellness, holistic health, and continuous professional development
