Site Activation Manager Hybrid in US ideally West Coast Updated: Yesterday Location: Morrisville, NC, United States Job ID: 25108068 Job Responsibilities Responsible and accountable for customer‑focused leadership and management of Site Start‑Up (SSU) deliverables within a country, region or globally, within the assigned projects or programs. Directs the technical and operational aspects of the Site Start‑Up deliverables of the assigned projects and ensures delivery of activation‑ready study sites on time, on budget, and in compliance with all applicable regulations. Collaborates with business development, contracts, project management, clinical data, and medical writing teams. Identifies and evaluates fundamental issues related to Site Start‑Up, regulatory pathway, patient enrollment, data interpretation and business decisions. Ensures project deliverables meet internal and client expectations, providing accurate projections, reports, updates, and risk mitigation. Develops and maintains relationships with customers and ensures individual project targets and client needs are met. Oversees all project start‑up deliverables from site selection through activation and life‑cycle maintenance. Manages site identification and selection, regulatory activities, clinical trial agreements, investigator budgets, essential document collection, timelines and budget reviews. Prepares core submission documents, performs regulatory impact assessment, and oversees country‑specific applications. Contributes to change initiatives across the SSU department. Provides mentorship and oversight to less experienced Site Activation Managers. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (Higher Degree preferred). Minimum 6 years CRO industry experience or 5 years in SSU / clinical trial environment. Excellent understanding of clinical trial processes across Phases II‑IV and ICH GCP. Good understanding of clinical protocols and study specifications. Experience in project management in a fast‑paced environment. Vendor management, strong organizational, communication, presentation, interpersonal, negotiation and problem‑solving skills. Salary Range The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position; actual salary will vary by candidate qualifications and other factors.
