Director, U.S. Marketing, Atherosclerosis

Merck seeks a Director of U.S. Marketing to lead healthcare consumer strategy and direct-to-patient initiatives for atherosclerosis products. The role encompasses comprehensive HCC strategy development, patient-centered experience design, and cross-functional launch execution in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive HCC strategy, experience plan, and patient activation roadmap
• Own end-to-end direct-to-patient strategy and serve as brand leader for DtP initiatives
• Lead integrated launch readiness including milestone tracking, risk identification, and cross-functional execution
• Establish governance structures, KPI reviews, and performance routines for continuous optimization
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across marketing, access, compliance, medical, and external partners

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Significant consumer marketing, patient access, or digital health experience
• Demonstrated ability to own strategy, roadmap, and complex initiative execution
• Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare access, pharmacy fulfillment, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to lead in matrixed environment and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
• Strategic thinking, financial acumen, and comfort operating in ambiguity
• Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
