This $75M revenue, Private Equity-backed organization operates 14+ business units, operating in branches across Los Angeles, Orange Country and San Diego, and is in aggressive growth mode after 30+ years of success built on a reputation for quality, leadership, and a winning culture. We’re seeking a strategic, hands-on AR Supervisor who thrives in fast-paced environments. This role will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections, and credit management. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both managerial oversight and active involvement in customer collections. The ideal candidate will combine financial discipline, strong communication skills, and practical problem-solving abilities to ensure timely collections and reduce outstanding receivables across multiple business units. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the AR function across headquarters and multiple branch locations. Oversee timely and accurate billing, invoicing, and cash application. Personally manage collection efforts on high-balance or delinquent accounts. Develop, implement, and monitor AR policies, procedures, and credit controls. Partner with branch managers, project managers, and service coordinators to resolve billing or customer disputes. Maintain and monitor AR aging reports; establish collection targets and KPIs. Regularly communicate AR performance and risk exposure to senior leadership. Support month-end close and work with the Controller/CFO on AR-related reporting. Lead process improvements, including automation and efficiency initiatives, for billing and collections. Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of progressive AR experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Hands-on experience with collections, dispute resolution, and customer negotiations. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AR best practices. Experience in construction, service trades, or related industries (highly preferred). Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and Excel; experience with service-industry billing systems a plus. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
