Senior Manager Financial Planning Analysis

We are an established company but with an entrepreneurial/start-up vibe, with a population of 140-150 employees Role Overview Our company is seeking a strategic and commercially minded Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to serve as the finance partner to our Omnichannel and e-commerce business. This role sits within the Finance organization and serves as both the forecast owner and a strategic advisor to commercial leadership, brand partners, and internal teams. The ideal candidate combines rigorous financial modeling, fluency in marketplace and channel economics, and executive-level communication skills to guide the business through new-channel launches and profitable scaling. This individual will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring leaders understand what the numbers say, what is driving them, and what to do about it, while aligning cross-functional teams to drive measurable commercial outcomes. Key Responsibilities 1. Forecasting, Planning & Reporting Own the annual budget, quarterly reforecasts, and monthly close reporting for our e-e-commerce and emerging marketplace P&L. Build and maintain bottoms-up, driver-based revenue models spanning GMV, take rate, affiliate and creator commissions, livestream hours, paid media spend, and contribution margin. Deliver weekly and monthly variance analysis against budget and forecast, with clear commentary on the drivers behind each swing. Partner with Accounting on month-end close, accruals, and revenue recognition for marketplace and commission-based revenue streams. Maintain reporting packages and dashboards that give leadership a single source of truth on channel performance. Manage and organize segmentation reporting for different business lines within the department Identify forecast risks and upside, quantify the P&L impact, and flag them before they land. 2. Strategic Finance & Executive Decision Support Provide financial recommendations to commercial leadership on how to enter, price, and scale within E-commerce and adjacent marketplace channels. Build business cases for new platform launches, brand onboardings, and market expansions, including investment requirements, payback, and margin impact. Run project-based financial analysis to provide strategic insights. Educate executive and non-finance stakeholders on channel economics, unit margin, and the levers that move profitability, based on the latest trend and updates on different marketplaces. Prepare board- and executive-level materials that translate financial results into a clear narrative and recommended actions. Partner with Account Management and Growth teams to evaluate profitability across our existing brand portfolio and surface margin improvement opportunities. Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews assessing financial performance across content, affiliates, livestream, paid media, and marketplace fundamentals. Analyze return on creator, livestream, and paid media investment, and recommend reallocation where returns lag. Support long-range planning and multi-year channel roadmaps for emerging marketplace opportunities. 4. Cross-Functional Partnership & Process Collaborate closely with Accounting, Account Management, Creator, Paid Media, Livestream, and Operations teams to ensure planning assumptions reflect operating reality. Help translate financial targets into clear priorities and KPIs for execution teams. Strengthen FP&A processes, models, and data hygiene as the business scales across new marketplaces. Qualifications 6+ years’ experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, investment banking, or consulting, including time supporting a commercial or channel P&L. Experience within Beauty, Personal Care, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), or eCommerce/marketplace businesses is strongly preferred. Understanding of eCommerce and marketplace economics or strong analytical expertise with demonstrated digital commerce experience. Experience owning budgets, forecasts, and month-end reporting cycles end to end. Strong understanding of cash flow drivers, working capital, and cash flow forecasting. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP and financial planning tools (e.g., NetSuite, OneStream) preferred. Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to executive and non-finance audiences. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and high attention to detail. Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
