HR RepresentativeWe are looking for an HR Representative to join our team at Jireh Semiconductor in Hillsboro, OR. The HR Representative reports to and supports the Director of Human Resources with projects related to the HR functions of the organization. This position will focus on leave administration, workers' compensation, and benefits. This position is Monday-Friday, 9:30 am - 6:30 pm. This is a fully onsite position and as a 24/7 manufacturing facility, we are looking for a candidate who will be flexible to provide infrequent morning/evening and weekend coverage.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesAdvise employees and managers on leave policies, processes and laws; serve as primary point of contact for all leave types and applicable time off, disability benefits, Workers' Compensation, and benefit billingMaintain tracking of leave status', as well as workers' compensation and accommodationsMaintain communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return-to-work; relay communications between employees and managers during leaveNavigate difficult conversations, mental health situations, and in-crisis employee situations and provide resourcesAdminister the return-to-work process for employees, including coordinating ADA accommodations as neededAdvise on time off entries for all leave types; monitor time off entries during leaves to ensure accurate payrollPrepare weekly/monthly/quarterly reports regarding leave usagePrepare and distribute benefits and leave related communications, notices and remindersAssist employees with benefits related questions and benefits enrollmentsMaintain HR related systems and audit data for accuracyMay perform functions as part of new hire orientations and/or the termination processServe as a back-up for employee relations issues including employee complaints, investigations, corrective actions, etc.May support an identified area and become main contact for employee/supervisory questions and employee relations activitiesProvide backup coverage for other HR team members on weekends and evenings (up to 8 pm) as needed to cover vacations and other absenceOther HR related functions and duties as assignedRequired Experience & EducationBachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field highly preferred3-5 years of experience working directly in a Human Resources Department, with significant exposure to leave administration2 years of Paid Leave Oregon administration experience highly preferredEquivalent combination of education and experienceOther QualificationsBenefits administration, workers' compensation, timecard processing, employee relations, and new hire orientation experience strongly preferredCompensation experience a plusPayroll & manufacturing experience a plusMust have flexible availability to cover as early as 6 am and as late as 8 pm, as well as weekends, infrequently to cover for other teammatesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required)Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferredDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentialityHigh level attention to detailStrong multitasking and prioritization abilitiesProactive and efficient work ethicCustomer focused / approachable / personableExcellent communication skills (oral and written)Demonstrated understanding of state, and federal employment lawsCompany Information: Alpha and Omega Semiconductor (AOS) is committed to excellence in design, manufacturing, and responsiveness to our customers through the continued development of new technologies, products and innovative solutions.
