The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practicing Provider for its Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility division. Candidates should have an interest in academic medicine and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Essential Functions

• Primary responsibilities include working collaboratively with Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility physicians and providing comprehensive care to patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests. 
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
• Monitor the effectiveness of interventions. 
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed. 
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans. 
• Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence-based practice. 
• Participate in research and development projects for the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Perform history and physical examinations in the outpatient setting; document new patient visit and progress notes.
• Order laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain the necessity, preparation, and anticipated results to the patient.
• Prescribe necessary treatment and services for quality patient care.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Participate in basic science and clinical research projects conducted by supervising physician.

Nurse Practitioner

Required Education

• Master’s degree in nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program.

Required Trainings/Certifications

• Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority
• Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty

Required Experience

• Three (3) years nursing experience
• Experience in women’s health/Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility preferred but not required

Physician’s Assistant

Required Education

• Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program

Required Trainings/Certifications

• Active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
