Facilities Technician III

The Facilities Technician III is a senior-level technician responsible for performing complex maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment, systems, and infrastructure. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, supports preventive maintenance programs, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Responsibilities and duties include:

• Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and remodel repairs on all facilities
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections according to established schedules
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Install, modify, and upgrade facility systems as needed
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support equipment reliability and process improvements
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and update CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental standards
• Train and mentor junior facility staff
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and support off-shift coverage as required
• All other duties assigned.

Requirements (knowledge, skills & abilities) include:

• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control systems
• Proficiency with plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems, all other facility systems
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms and maintenance documentation
• Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other industrial equipment (certification preferred)

Education and experience (required levels) include:

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment

Physical requirements include:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; reach with hands, arms, and shoulders. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. The employee occasionally will be required to hand lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
