Telemetry Nurse – Cardiac/Stroke

Schedule: Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45–07:15) Weekend requirement: Every other weekend; plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period

Assignment Details: Assignment length: 13–26 weeks Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements: Minimum 2 years recent relevant experience in a busy unit Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), NIHSS Cardiac telemetry skills required Preferred: prior telemetry/PCU experience

Roles & Responsibilities: Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret rhythms. Manage and titrate cardiac drips, including Cardizem and other vasoactive agents. Perform IV starts and manage peripheral and central lines. Provide pre/post-operative care for cardiac procedures, including catheterizations and pacemaker/ICD management. Care for patients requiring high-flow oxygen and chronic BiPAP therapy. Participate in rapid response team and code situations as necessary

Compliance / Notes: Orientation: 36 hours (availability required daily in the first week) RTO: Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays) Pre-start modules must be completed before starting. All charting done through specified EMR systems. Scrubs: Navy blue or white, with specific guidelines for attire
