Join the team at McCandless Truck Center - Reno as a Body Shop Technician specializing in fabrication and body work. This role is based in Sparks, NV and offers a dynamic work environment where your skills in repairing and fabricating truck bodies will be essential to maintaining the high standards of our fleet.
Responsibilities- Perform fabrication, welding, and body repair on commercial trucks and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Assess damage and provide accurate estimates for repair work.
- Use various tools and equipment to strip, repair, and replace damaged panels and structural components.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and company quality guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper use of tools and safety equipment.
- Proven experience in fabrication and body work, preferably in a commercial truck or heavy vehicle environment.
- Proficiency with welding equipment and techniques.
- Strong knowledge of metalworking, measuring, and repair processes.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Sparks, NV location.
