Hollow Rock Manufacturing is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) 3rd Shift Warehouse & Operations Supervisor to provide overnight leadership for warehouse and production support operations in our Rockford, Illinois facility.

This position serves as the primary operational leader during overnight hours and is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient operations while supporting production, warehousing, inventory management, quality programs, and raw material receiving. The successful candidate must be capable of running the facility in the Plant Manager's absence and making sound operational decisions during non-business hours.

Responsibilities: 

·        Lead and supervise overnight production and support personnel.

·        Serve as the senior on-site operational leader during the assigned shift.

·        Operate manufacturing and plant equipment and controls through our HMI system.

·        Ensure proper completion of daily warehouse documentation, records, and operational reports.

·        Utilize ERP, NewBoss, and warehouse management systems to track inventory and transactions.

·        Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation requirements, and food/feed safety standards.

·        Support and maintain SQF certification requirements, including documentation, traceability, audit readiness, and corrective actions.

·        Troubleshoot equipment, material flow, and operational issues as they arise.

·        Coordinate with maintenance personnel regarding equipment performance, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.

·        Conduct shift handoff communications and report operational, safety, quality, and maintenance concerns.

·        Monitor employee productivity, attendance, safety, and performance.

·        Operate forklifts and support warehouse operations as needed.

·        Participate in internal and external audits and assist with corrective action implementation.

·        Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Operations teams to maintain food/feed safety, quality, and production goals.

·        Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and operational excellence initiatives.

·        Serve as a working supervisor and actively participate in day-to-day operational activities.

·        Continuously learn and adapt to the dynamics of the agricultural and ingredient industry through on-the-job training and self-directed growth.

Basic Qualifications:

·        Fluent in English and Spanish.

·        High school diploma or GED.

·        3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, food production, grain processing, feed manufacturing, dairy processing, or related industries.

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Agriculture, or a related field preferred but not required.

·        Experience supervising four or more employees.

·        Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

·        Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and raw material management.

·        Working knowledge of ERP systems, warehouse management systems, or NewBoss.

·        Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and production issues.

·        Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation requirements.

·        Experience working within Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification standards.

·        Understanding of food/feed safety, quality assurance, traceability, documentation, and audit requirements.

·        Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements

·        Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

·        Stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday.

·        Work in manufacturing, warehouse, and outdoor environments as needed.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate cross-functionally.
