Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location Saratoga, NY

Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description The Registered Nurse will provide care in a telemetry unit, focusing on monitoring and managing patients with cardiac conditions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in rhythm interpretation, IV cardiac medication administration, and stroke management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify critical conditions.
• Manage IV cardiac medications and continuous infusions.
• Provide patient education regarding heart health and stroke prevention.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Utilize Epic for patient documentation and charting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid NY State RN License in hand.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (can be obtained prior to starting).
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including recent telemetry/stepdown experience.
• Experience managing IV cardiac medications and familiarity with stroke care.
