Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Pay Rate: $18.87/hr.

Shift: 2nd

Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL

Responsible for completion of continuous QC fruit inspections conducted throughout the facility. This position can be scheduled both in the cold box and in the production area (thought various temperatures).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Collect and grade fruit samples.
• Record and input data into computer.
• Notify grader or operator of fruit standard.
• Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality with limits.
• Help in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Control Program.
• Performs other duties as instructed.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic computer skills.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Good written communication skills.
• Willingness to work long and varied shifts.
• Basic math skills.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperature changes.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.

Language Skills:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
