Senior Counsel / Hybrid

We are partnering on an exclusive search for a Senior Counsel to join a sophisticated, privately held real estate ownership platform in Los Angeles. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced attorney seeking a highly visible, business-facing role with broad responsibility and true ownership. The Senior Counsel will serve as the organization’s sole attorney, acting as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while overseeing a wide range of legal and strategic matters across the business. This is not a narrow specialist role. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial real estate experience, sound business judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic ownership/operator environment. Responsibilities Serve as the lead legal advisor to executive leadership Provide strategic legal guidance across day-to-day business operations Support commercial real estate operations, including leasing and portfolio matters Advise on corporate governance, compliance, and organizational legal issues Oversee risk management matters Manage outside counsel on specialized legal matters and transactions Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and legal documentation Partner closely with business leadership to develop practical legal solutions Supervise legal support staff and help guide internal legal processes Qualifications Required: J.D. from an accredited law school 10+ years of legal experience Meaningful experience in both: in-house legal roles Excellent business judgment and executive communication skills Ability to work independently as the senior legal leader Compensation: $250,000 – $400,000 total annual cash compensation Work Arrangement 2–3 days in office #J-18808-Ljbffr Lateral Link
