Senior Accountant
CFS is partnering with a mission-driven organization to identify a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced accounting professional seeking a fully remote position with a collaborative culture, meaningful work, and strong career growth potential. The role offers a competitive salary range of $100,000-$110,000 .
Senior Accountant Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting policies
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Assist with audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
- Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial reporting and operational initiatives
- Support ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
- CPA designation or CPA track preferred
