Shipping Coordinator
Shipping Coordinator Location: Merrill, WI Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch) Pay: $20.00/hour + Benefits
Job Summary Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join their team. This role is responsible for inspecting, packing, and shipping outgoing goods in accordance with company standards. The Shipping Coordinator will also support the bindery department as needed and play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate and timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret job tickets to determine production and shipping requirements
- Accurately record time associated with each job for customer billing
- Inspect outgoing products and report any defects to the Bindery Supervisor or Customer Service Representative
- Label, stage, and document shipments to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery
- Receive incoming shipments and distribute them to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain and utilize shipping documents such as job tickets, bills of lading, and related paperwork
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members across departments to improve quality and efficiency
- Assist in other departments as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a shipping/receiving environment
- Strong math, reading, and writing skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team
