Clinical Pharmacist

As a Clinical Pharmacist I at MedStar Health, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered medication therapy within a large, mission-driven health system serving the Maryland–Washington, D.C. region. In this entry-level clinical pharmacist role, you will verify, prepare, and dispense medications; perform prospective order review; and optimize pharmacotherapy using evidence-based guidelines. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other team members to provide drug information, monitor therapy, and support antimicrobial stewardship and medication safety initiatives.

Working in a patient-first, team-oriented environment, you will participate in medication reconciliation, transitions of care, and patient counseling to promote adherence and reduce adverse events. You will ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards while documenting interventions in the electronic health record.
