Certified Surgical Technologist

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced certified surgical technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team. This position is based in Chicago, IL at a hospital setting and supports a high-acuity, busy OR performing a broad range of cases including open heart, orthopedic, and general surgery.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified OR/Surg Tech in a surgical environment. Experience in a busy OR required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Willingness and ability to take on-call assignments; all OR agency staff required to take call.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cardiac surgery/CVOR and with open heart procedures preferred.
• Experience working extended hours and flexible shift schedules preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours include 06:3019:00 and other daytime hours; work day hours may extend dependent on case load (examples provided: 11:0019:30).
• Rotating weekends and holidays and on-call responsibilities. On-call cadence example: one night every two weeks and one weekend every six weeks.
• Possible schedule configurations may include 4x10s or 3x12s based on operational needs.
• Must be able to cover shifts until 19:00 as needed.
