Conformal Coating Operator

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Conformal Coating Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective conformal coatings to electronic circuit boards and components, ensuring durability and performance in various environmental conditions. Responsibilities Operate conformal coating equipment, including airless paint sprayers and automated dispensing systems, to apply coatings uniformly on electronic assemblies. Prepare surfaces by cleaning and masking components using hand tools, masking tapes, and other materials handling techniques. Set up and calibrate machinery using precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate coating thickness and coverage. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols related to industrial painting and materials handling. Conduct quality inspections of coated products using measurement tools and visual assessments to verify coating integrity. Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as power tools, spray systems, and fabrication tools to ensure optimal operation. Assist in troubleshooting coating application issues by analyzing process parameters and making adjustments as needed. Support warehouse operations by managing inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment required for conformal coating tasks. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste during production processes. Document process parameters, inspection results, and maintenance activities accurately for quality control records. Qualifications Proven experience in manufacturing environments with knowledge of industrial painting, auto body repair, or auto painting techniques. Familiarity with machining, fabrication, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or other heavy machinery is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge related to materials handling, assembly, and construction painting. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers confidently. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and warehouse experience is advantageous. Competence in using auto body repair techniques or airless paint spraying equipment is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance during coating applications. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across various departments.
