Your future role at a glance Location: Indianapolis, IN Facility: Ascension St. Vincent 86th Street Campus Department/Specialty: Ascension St. Vincent Police Department Schedule: Days | Full Time | 6:00am - 6:00pm | Panama Style Schedule How you'll make an impact in this role Proactively safeguard the hospital environment through vigilant monitoring and rapid response to ensure the continuous safety of patients, visitors, and medical staff. Lead incident investigations and document safety hazards with precision, providing the critical data needed to mitigate future risks and maintain high care standards. Empower the healthcare team by facilitating emergency drills and providing hands‑on training, ensuring every staff member feels confident and prepared for any situation. Serve as a visible safety ambassador by patrolling campus grounds and managing traffic flow to create a welcoming, secure, and accessible environment for everyone. Maintain operational readiness by identifying equipment malfunctions and mastering emergency protocols, ensuring our safety systems never fail when they are needed most. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Drivers License credentialed from the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Security Guard preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
