2027 Business Technology Solutions Intern - Data & Software Engineering (Undergraduate)

AbbVie seeks undergraduate interns for an 11-week onsite program in Business Technology Solutions, with tracks in Data Engineering or Software/Application Engineering. Interns will design and build enterprise applications, develop data infrastructure, and gain experience in a dynamic pharmaceutical organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise applications across front-end and back-end systems
  • Develop responsive user interfaces and implement backend services, APIs, and microservices
  • Build, maintain, and optimize data infrastructure including databases and data pipelines
  • Integrate data sources and ensure efficient, secure collection and processing
  • Apply technical knowledge to solve scientific or business problems

Requirements

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI or related field
  • Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
  • Enrolled in university semester following internship; graduate within one year post-internship
  • Programming experience in Java, Python, SQL, or related languages depending on track
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork experience
