Senior Living Maintenance Assistant

Senior Living Maintenance Assistant We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to support residents in our beautiful senior living community in Boise. Responsibilities Perform scheduled maintenance projects, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, landscape, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair. Understand and use Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Maintain walls, floor coverings, doors, windows, furniture, and common‑area woodwork. Prepare surfaces and paint as needed. Repair and maintain vacated rooms with painting and carpet cleaning. Handle in‑house plumbing (sinks, toilets, bathtubs). Conduct minor electrical work in units and common areas. Paint apartments and common areas. Maintain carpets, floor coverings and furniture. Complete all work orders promptly and document additional work. Document safety issues and physical plan deficiencies per local, county, state and federal guidelines. Assist preventive maintenance and cleaning of community vehicles (busses, cars, vans). Assist with training on safety procedures and hazard communications. Respond immediately and appropriately to accidents and emergencies per protocol. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, Regional Maintenance Supervisor or General Manager. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1–3 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, mechanical, painting, plumbing, floor care, heating and HVAC. Preference for knowledge of fire suppression & irrigation systems. Preference for motor vehicle maintenance ability. Flexible schedule; able to work evenings and weekends as needed. Physical Requirements This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 90 lbs), pushing/pulling, and other physical activities.
