Mobile Diesel Mechanic / Truck Technician

Overview Compensation: $25 - $50 / hour Pliler International is expanding our Mobile Service team and looking for a dependable, skilled technician to provide onsite maintenance and repairs throughout East Texas and Northwest Louisiana. You’ll work from a fully equipped company mobile service truck, handling scheduled service during normal business hours as well as participating in after-hours and on-call service when needed. Fully equipped company mobile service truck provided Company cell phone provided for after-hours service Uniforms provided ASE and state inspection certification reimbursement Manufacturer training and continued education Growth and advancement opportunities Support from an experienced dealership service team Family-owned company with a strong, long-tenured team What You’ll Be Doing Travel to customer locations throughout East Texas and Northwest Louisiana Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty commercial trucks Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns using diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical information Repair systems including brakes, electrical, air systems, suspension, steering, HVAC, cooling, starting and charging, drivetrain, and aftertreatment Respond to scheduled service calls and assigned after-hours or roadside service requests Communicate clearly with customers about vehicle concerns, repair findings, and recommended services Coordinate with the Service Manager, Service Advisor, and dealership team Complete repair orders and accurately document labor, parts, inspections, and repairs Maintain the tools, parts, supplies, and equipment assigned to the mobile service truck Keep the service truck clean, organized, properly stocked, and ready to respond Follow company safety procedures and customer-site safety requirements Provide professional, dependable service and build positive customer relationships What We’re Looking For Previous experience as a diesel mechanic, truck technician, mobile service technician, or similar role Experience diagnosing and repairing medium- or heavy-duty commercial trucks Strong knowledge of diesel, mechanical, electrical, brake, air, suspension, steering, and related vehicle systems Ability to work independently with limited supervision Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship Good communication and customer service skills Ability to stay organized and manage multiple service calls and priorities Willingness to work outdoors and in a variety of customer-site and roadside conditions Dependability and flexibility to participate in after-hours and on-call coverage Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record Ability to meet applicable DOT requirements for operating the mobile service vehicle CDL, DOT inspection certification, ASE certifications, and dealership or fleet experience are preferred High school diploma or GED required Technical school, vocational training, manufacturer training, or an applicable apprenticeship is preferred Benefits Health Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Competitive Wages Flexible Scheduling More About Pliler International As a family-owned and operated business, we treat our employees like family.
