Development Manager

Job TitleSalary range for this position is $56,000 - $60,000 per yearEssential Job FunctionsWork with advancement team to develop annual fund strategy and set goals to achieve a significant increase in philanthropic contributions from community organizations, corporations, & individuals.Coordinate monthly tour and point of entry events with Director of Advancement.Maintain existing and identify & cultivate new sponsor relationships through effective communication, cultivation, and recognition.Assist in securing items for silent auctions, program events, and in-kind donations.Develop and implement internal employee giving campaigns, $ and in-kind.Diversify annual fund campaigns to include online solicitation and email strategies.Produce annual appeal letters and donor acknowledgement letters that target individual donors for direct mail campaigns.Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward prospective and existing donors.Execute events and campaign plans to meet revenue goals.Match internal volunteer opportunities to outside companies, clubs, and groups.Maintain & grow our CRM database, calendar, and reporting.The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.EducationBachelor's degree in relevant field is required.Advanced degree in field related to not-for-profit management, communications or fund development preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Good interpersonal skills.Ability to work well as team member.Strong partnership-building and event-planning skills.Thorough understanding of components of diversified funding base. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of CRM and database programs.Proven ability to handle multiple and varied functions with success.Proven ability to manage corporate resources responsibly and effectively.ExperienceFive years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical DemandsPosition has no unusual physical demands.
