Quality Technician

Are you passionate about quality, precision measurement, and manufacturing excellence? We are seeking a Quality Technician to support incoming inspection, supplier quality, first article inspections, and metrology activities. This role is responsible for ensuring materials, components, and finished parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards through detailed inspections, data analysis, and CMM programming.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with strong blueprint reading, GD&T, and metrology experience who enjoys working in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Pay

$25.00 - $34.00 per hour (or DOE if applicable)

Shift

Day Shift

• Monday-Friday

• Flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM

• 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of materials, components, and supplier products.

• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and verify part conformance to specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and quality requirements.

• Use precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.

• Develop, program, maintain, and optimize CMM inspection programs.

• Set up fixtures and parts for accurate dimensional measurements.

• Review and validate inspection reports and measurement data.

• Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials and products.

• Support root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.

• Generate quality reports and maintain detailed inspection records.

• Track supplier quality performance and incoming material acceptance.

• Assist with Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and metrology improvement projects.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to improve quality and process capability.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, quality procedures, and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Inspection, Quality Control, or a related manufacturing quality role.

• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.

• Experience performing dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment.

• Hands-on experience operating and programming CMM equipment.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality systems.

• Experience documenting inspection results and preparing quality reports.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ, ISO 9001, or related quality certifications.

• Experience leading First Article Inspections (FAI).

• Experience in incoming inspection.

• Knowledge of tolerance analysis and measurement system analysis (MSA).

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite in Niwot, CO and supports manufacturing, laboratory, and office operations. The role combines hands-on inspection work with data analysis and reporting in a structured, safety-focused environment. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $53560.00 - $70720.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
