The Opportunity:

Washington State University's Bursar's Office is now accepting applications for a Fiscal Specialist 1 . As the Fiscal Specialist, under general supervision, you will perform routine fiscal support functions within the university's Bursar’s Office. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Processing financial transactions.

• Performing account reconciliations.

• Maintaining student account data.

• Providing customer service to students and departments

• Applying established procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls.

• Refering complex issues to senior staff.

Additional Information:

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary: $3,653.00 to $4,866.00 | Range 40 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:

• (3) Three years of fiscal record keeping experience; OR equivalent education/experience.

• Extensive customer service experience working with the public.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency level with Microsoft Office software programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using WSU systems.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency level with Microsoft or other database applications such as Access or FoxPro.

• Experience working in a busy office environment that requires multi-tasking.
