Relevant work experience includes experience in Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, Talent Sourcing or Human Resources.Strong working knowledge of/experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS); experience with Empower ATSStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Strong sales skills to match candidates with Company's needsStrong passive sourcing skillsA combination of high energy and creativity, backed with strong analytical skillsSound interviewing, organizational, public relations, negotiation and communication skillsExperience with behavioral based interview techniques and ability to coach management appropriately in its usageExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability in modelling FE's Values and BehaviorsAttention to detail and strong customer service focusStrong planning and prioritizing skillsAbility to develop strong relationships with a broad range of individuals at different levelsAbility to work in a dynamic team environmentAbility to travel periodically with overnight stays in and outside of FirstEnergy territoryResponsibilitiesDemonstrating a solid commitment to safetyExercising sound decision making by developing alternatives and recommendations to improve recruiting work processesActively seeking formal and informal learning opportunities to better understand recruiting proceduresPartnering with hiring managers to determine staffing objectives by studying organization plans and position requirementsDeveloping sourcing strategies designed to identify qualified candidates through various recruiting sources and toolsPartnering with various niche and community groups to increase the diversity of candidate slates provided to hiring managersDetermining candidate qualifications by developing knowledge, skill, and screening questions for each position to ensure placement of top talentConducting phone screens, interviews, and employee benefit overviewsReferring qualified candidates to hiring managers, while ensuring diversity is appropriately represented in accordance with HR Policy Letter 202 and in support of D&I KPIsDeveloping salary recommendations by analyzing internal equity in relation to the candidate's skills and experiencePresenting employment offers while selling organization values, strengths, and opportunitiesNegotiating all final salary and benefit terms with candidatesMaintaining thorough documentation of requisition status, candidates considered and selection decisionsProviding guidance to hiring managers to ensure compliance with Federal and State employment lawsMaintaining relationships with business networks and professional organizations to gain knowledge and obtain referralsAttending college career fairs and other recruitment eventsResearching current recruiting best practices, methods and processes to proactively recommend process changesMaintaining a high degree of confidentiality on projects and employee-related informationBenefits, Compensation & Workforce DiversityAt FirstEnergy, employees are key to our success.
