Job Title: Assembler (1st Shift) Job Description
Join our team as an Assembler, where you will play a crucial role in executing complex assembly tasks that require advanced mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to coach and train lower-level assemblers, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory compliance standards.
Responsibilities

• Execute complex assembly tasks, including advanced mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies.
• Coach and train lower-level assemblers, providing guidance and mentoring on techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Ensure the team adheres to all safety and regulatory compliance standards.
• Continuously review and recommend improvements to assembly processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other departments to resolve design or manufacturing issues.
• Perform final quality inspections and testing to ensure that the assembled products meet company standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of parts and materials required for assembly and ensure that stock is kept at optimal levels.
• Follow lean manufacturing guidelines, providing continuous improvement suggestions for gained efficiency.

Essential Skills

• At least 25 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing roles.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting complex technical documents, including engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train and mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes and manufacturing best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines without compromising quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working on an assembly line.
• Power tool and hand tool usage.
• Experience following prints, schematics, or build SOPs.

Work Environment
Work the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM, with mandatory overtime on Fridays to meet production deadlines. Be prepared to lift and move up to 35 pounds, and stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch as required. Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination are necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
