Job Title: Material Flow Engineer

Work Location Address: Detroit, MI

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and optimize material flow processes within manufacturing operations.
• Develop material delivery strategies to support production requirements and minimize downtime.
• Create and maintain material flow layouts using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with production, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain teams to ensure efficient movement of materials.
• Support new product launches, plant modifications, and capacity expansion projects.
• Conduct material flow simulations, bottleneck analyses, and process improvement studies.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Monitor inventory flow and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Requirements:

Requirements

·       Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

·       Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing .

·       Strong proficiency in AutoCAD .

·       Experience with material flow planning, plant logistics, and warehouse operations.

·       Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

·       Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·       Experience supporting manufacturing launch activities is preferred.
