Collections Specialist

GFT is seeking a highly organized Collections Specialist to join our Administrative Support team in Dallas, TX. This role follows a hybrid-remote work model. Responsibilities Monitor accounts receivable to identify outstanding debts and aging balances. Investigate historical account data to understand and resolve discrepancies. Contact clients regarding overdue invoices and payment status. Resolve overdue balances and facilitate collection of payments. Maintain and report on collection activity and account status. Respond to and resolve client questions or complaints related to outstanding debt. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or balances due. Assist in resolving customer credit-related issues. Support reconciliation and resolution of unapplied payments. Collaborate with Billing and Project Accounting Specialists to guide adjustments within the system. May perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field or high school and equivalent experience. 2-5 years of relevant experience as a collection's specialist or similar role. Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, including emotional intelligence. Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. High attention to detail with strong time-management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with project accounting software such as BST, Deltek, or similar systems. Compensation The range for this position is $50,000 – $65,000, dependent on experience and geographic location. Benefits Hybrid (in-person and remote) work environment.
