Role Overview As a Security Officer, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of Henry Ford Health’s facilities, patients, visitors, and employees. Your vigilance helps prevent disturbances, protect property, and maintain a safe environment. This role is essential in upholding the trust and well‑being of our community. What You Will Do Monitor Henry Ford Health facilities and properties to protect persons and property against injury or loss. Direct visitors, patients, and employees to appropriate locations. Intervene to prevent and control disturbances. Keep appropriate persons informed of activities, events, and incidents. Summon necessary assistance as required. Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), required. Preference given to: Hospital / Healthcare related security experience -OR- Prior law enforcement experience in a sworn capacity, (Local, State, County, Federal) -OR- Four plus (4+) years of military experience with Honorable Discharge. May be required to use an intermediate weapon. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Maintain a valid unexpired Michigan operator’s license.
