As an MGSE Engineer, you will work with a diverse work force responsible for the development, design, fabrication, test, and delivery of support equipment. Job responsibilities include:Collaborate in team environment to develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products.Review requirements from various sources (stress, dynamics, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products.Collaborate with peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met.Contribute to the completion of program achievements by the release of accurate, error-free, affordable, and producible engineering designs.Perform engineering liaison activities during hardware fabrication and procurement, including travel to support and provide technical assistance to existing/new suppliers, support assembly, integration, and testing activities, and provide on-site support to vendors as needed.The ideal candidate will have knowledge of 3D CAD Modeling in PTC CREO, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), have good communications skills (both oral and written) and a background in Mechanical Engineering processes. A willingness to travel and ability to obtain a DOD security clearance is required.Master degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.Familiar with the development of Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) used for the manufacture, integration, test, transport, and handling of critical hardware.Expertise in CAD modeling using PTC CREO, Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM), Data Set Rating (DSR), Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5.Extensive knowledge of industrial standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS (including AWS weld symbology).Experience with mechanical product design and lifecycle.Knowledge of FBM Program and LM Space command media.Good oral, written, and presentation communication skills.Active DOD Secret security clearance.By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
