Location: Aurora, CO

Pay: $20-24/hr

Position Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining production equipment used in the manufacturing of plastic packaging products. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing quality products while maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain molding and production equipment
• Perform machine changeovers, adjustments, and basic preventative maintenance
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications
• Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records
• Operate laser dating systems and leak detection equipment
• Handle raw materials and finished goods using pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners
• Troubleshoot minor equipment and production issues as needed
• Follow all safety procedures, GMP standards, and PPE requirements
• Participate in team training, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operating experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with hand tools and production equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience with packaging, assembly, material handling, or warehouse operations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Plastic molding, blow molding, or injection molding experience
• Forklift certification or previous forklift experience
• Experience in food-grade, beverage, pharmaceutical, or sanitary manufacturing environments
• Preventative maintenance experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
