Phlebotomist

One of the major healthcare organizations in Athens, GA is seeking an experienced phlebotomist to join their laboratory team. This individual will work in the inpatient, hospital setting, in the Emergency Department (ED,) or both as needed. They will serve all floors except the NICU nursery and will only work with pediatrics as needed or if they are in the ED. They will collaborate closely with physicians, responding to orders via Rover and assist patients through venipunctures and obtain/prepare blood specimens.

Required Skills & Experience

* 2-3 years of recent phlebotomy experience (Medical Assistants will not be considered at this time)
- Hospital experience

* Formal phlebotomy training program

* Self-motivated and driven

* Ability to collaborate across all units within the hospital


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or equivalent agency

* Epic experience

* Has used handheld ID for Doctors' orders (example: Rover is the handheld for Epic)
